I have decided to explore the music of Bert Yansch to see if his music lives up to hype of recent media commentary following his death. Youtube is the current source but can someone point me to which albums they would class essential. He sounds like an amazing guitarist!

Check out Dav(e)y Graham as well. You'll find his work listed under both spellings, with and without the e. Jansch was largely Graham- influenced.

You should check out 'Bert and John' (Bert Jansch and John Renbourn), it's just an amazing album, or 'Jack Orion' (also with Renbourn). If you fancy checking out Davey Graham, 'A Scholar and a Gentlemen' is a great place to start.

Just thinking about this, The Jansch collection 'Dazzling Stranger' is a great introduction.
