it is about more than that, and always has been.

Too bad we have to waste all this police manpower for this as opposed to fighting the real crime. I'd be curious to see what the crime rate is since this started.

I know its about more than that, hence why I stated it was out of control once this was brought into it.

Can I default on my car payments too, just because the government made the price of gas so high? NO, and why, because Im not a dumbass and would never think I could....

That's true, but a few weeks ago when I walked through it in Times Square, it seemed every precient was represented. I'm sure the overtime costs are rising though.

my friend works for morgan stanley on wall street and actually needed a police escort into his office today because people were coming after him (and some of his co-workers) because he was dressed in a suit and tie

I hear ya man. My heart goes out to you having to deal with that on a daily basis. They need to clear those people out ASAP. If Rudy were still mayor, they woulda been out a month ago.

  • I haven't been down to that area since then and I can't take anyone seriously when they start calling the police "Nazis", as someone did on the local news story. Same goes for anyone who protests a president by comparing him to Hitler.

By the way, how far is this from the World Trade Center site?

Passed by the Occupy Dallas site yesterday after going to lunch and heading back to work...I'm honestly convinced the majority of the people there are homeless and just taking advantage of the camp area.

During the day you would be correct, and those are the people the media interview and use to make the movement look foolish. At night the people who work come in and actually demonstrate a pretty deep understanding of what's wrong with this country.

I haven't been there in person, but I've seen it on TV. I don't know if it's the same in New York as I haven't paid that much attention to the coverage, but I've seen the occupy Dallas people on the local news, and I don't think they even know why the hell they are there. Some people say they are there because it's "the place to be" since it's on TV, others think it's an "Impeach Obama" rally, some think it's a pro-Perry rally, and others just ramble about various other things. I have not seen any two people give the same response. I don't know if it's any more organized in New York, but in Dallas it would SEEM that it's just a gathering of people all there for different causes, reasons, or for none at all other than to just say they were there.

thats just it ...here in nyc their were rapes happening and rampant drug use going on ...sure some were there for the right reasons but alot weren't

also alot of inmates being released from rikers were going right there to live

they were allowed back in but with no sleeping gear or anything to shelter them ...slowly coming to an end
