Luckly I got both regular and variant at the Stadium! Many people didn´t even see the variant...specially on field.
They costed $25 each one! 8-)

That's awesome! Luck, or did you demand a variant?:lol:
  • I can't believe this print is not sold out on the site, and neither is the Curitiba print. Both variants are of course, but still. It's times like this I really wish I had an extra $60 laying around. That Buenos Aires print is just beautiful, but by the time I have some extra cash it'll be long gone :(

Of course I didn´t knew I was buying THE VARIANT!
When I bought it, the regular was not available at that stand, I saw it when I was leaving the Stadium. :)

Maybe you will, Brad upped his normal run of 100 to 200 for these. That is why its not sold out yet.

Although....it begs the question, if he sells only 20 of the variant and doubles the price, shouldn't he lower the price on the ones he double the quantity on? From a very basic demand vs. supply aspect, at $60 he is selling too high.

With all due respect, $60 for an artist print is pretty much the standard and has been for many years. So is the run of 200...for both Ames and BK. everybody else gets 100, they get 200. Good for all involved. More money for the artists, more AP's available for collectors. Also, Ames set the price for PJ AP posters years ago. Brad continued with that established price when he began selling AP's, and while some artists have increased their prices over the years, Brad has kept his price consistent. Very admirable and honorable considering how many people bought his work simply to flip it. The variants are a special circumstance. The very limited run (20) makes sense to have a higher price. Don't forget, this is how the artists make a living. As a longtime poster collector, I'm happy both about the idea of variants and the fact it drives more revenue to the artists.
If the $60 price for an AP is too high for you, just have some patience. 10c always comes through and makes more available online for $30.

Damnit, I feel like I'm going insane here. I swear most of Brads AP runs had been out of 100, but when I looked it up on EB, most said 200, with only a few being 100.

Now I'm trying to remember of the few Brad AP posters I have what they actually are numbered at, and I can't go and check them right now as they are half way around the world from me at the moment.

Anyway, all that aside, I wasn't trying to say Brad can't sell his art for what he wants to sell it at. More power to him if he can sell it at that price. I was just pointing out a possible reason for why these 2 posters hadn't sold out yet. And apparently I was wrong, and he has had a run of 200 for a while. Which just doesn't seem to match up with what I remember, so I guess I'm getting crazy and forgetful in my old age.

Needless to say, I think the fact that he is now offer up variants (which we have seen being flipped for crazy money) and that the poster market in general is a little down (outside of said variants) it isn't that crazy these haven't sold out.

Usualy the runs of 100 are for smaller venues or the Vedder solo shows lately. But most of the PJ AP's are always 200 or more.

I too am surprised these have not sold out yet.
