    I'll be driving into Boston round 2-3pm.... Picking up a friend at the Airport.

    May just cruise around til I see a cheap hotel in the downtown area (near venue)......

    comes to $108.33 i think theres a T stop near there too....

    nothing wrong with the Shawmut. Midtown Hotel is also good for its relatively low price.

    wouldn't wander too far out of your hotel at night, though, wherever you may be staying. Boston's been having a wee bit of a crime wave lately. most of it is in the poor neighborhoods (Roxbury, Dorchester, the South End) but crime is on the rise downtown around the common and back bay too.

    i will be staying nicely tucked away at home in the suburbs. :)
