I'm sure there are a lot of opinions on this... I personally have to go with Danny Carey of Tool. I admire many drummers for there simplicity and I admire others for their flash. Overall Danny Carey is it for me. What are your thoughts? Who is your favorite? Can you choose a single drummer?

Thanks!

Danny Carey is awesome, but kinda one dimensional. I'll take Neil Peart or Bonzo.

  • John Bonham. So much feeling. I'll take feeling over technical skill any day of the week.
Believe me, when I was growin up, I thought the worst thing you could turn out to be was normal, So I say freaks in the most complementary way. Here's a song by a fellow freak - E.V

He gives an amazing groove to this song

Powerful and intricate on the toms...

    And he BRINGS THE FUNK.
...just listen to that bass drum. That's all done with one-foot (no double pedal)

No secret I'm a big Dave Matthews Band fan, but even if you aren't a fan of DMB at all, I think it's impossible to deny how amazing Carter Beauford is on the drum kit. Such an animal, owns his huge ass kit, puts everything he has into every performance.

I would love to see The National open for Pearl Jam. I think that would be really, really, really cool.
