    Let it be, he's like.....15???

I think I actually saw Nickleback in concert once. Back when I was in college EverClear played a show on campus, and I think Nickleback was one of the openers. If I remember correctly their first radio hit wasn't too bad, but I never did get into their music.

And hell, who knows, maybe it was someone else completely!:lol:

  • their first album, Curb, was good. And the first song I heard on the radio (until it was on every 15 minutes) was catchy. They lost me at Silver Side Up and going forward.

I saw them play at a festival before they were big, mid-Sunday-afternoon, right before the Headstones. the crowd was less than interested in them. Also saw Creed at a festival before they were anything. They also played in the mid-afternoon on the small stage! I hated them then like I hate them now. Scott Stapp did his best EV impression, flannel and all. it was embarassing to watch.

maybe he'll be like Alanis......start out as a pop tart, but then come back later with a super angst-ridden rock album in his 20's.

I still can't believe I saw them live back in 2003! What was I thinking? Only saw half the show though, one of the two friends that dragged me there fainted because of it being to crowded...I begged them for ages to see a show with me, and this was the one we went to. eww.

Yup curb was a decent album, so was the one after it, I think it was called the state. Most people don't know those albums because that was when they were small indie in Canada. Once silverside up came out, they had their first crappy album and international startdom.

I actually saw Nickelback when there were small and I still liked their music. For bar shows they weren't too bad.

no desire to buy the new album though. haven't liked one of their albums since the 2nd one.
