With 2011 nearing an end, I thought it'd be a good time to share your favorite albums released this year.

I'll say:

Pearl Jam - Live on Ten Legs
Pearl Jam - Pearl Jam Twenty Original Motion Picture Soundtrack
Eddie Vedder - Ukulele Songs
Soundgarden - Live on I5
Jack Irons - Blue Manatee EP
Lykke Li - Wounded Rhymes
Radiohead - King of Limbs

and to a lesser extent...
Coldplay - Mylo Xyloto

Also was disappointed we didn't get anything new from Queens of the Stone Age or Tool. Be surprised if there was nothing in 2012.

Looking forward to Cornell's upcoming live album which will be out later this month.

On Tool... Didn't surprise me at all. Maynard was a busy dude. Summer tour with A Perfect Circle (Happy to catch them in St. Paul) and Puscifer put out a new album. He's now touring with that. MAYBE they'll have something next year.

Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds. I am amazed at how awesome this album is. Album is so good I am seeing him on the Saturday in Boston at the Wang Theater. I can not wait. Pick up the album, the sound, lyrics, vibe are just amazing. Enjoy!

Glad to see some love for Annie Clark and her band. I saw them for the 3rd time last week and heard all but 1 of Strange Mercys songs. Best overall effort this year without a doubt for me.

She is a genius. I will be very disappointed if this does not top some end of year lists. For those who are interested and want to read a review: http://www.pitchforkmedia.com/reviews/a ... nge-mercy/

I'm going to get it for my wife for Christmas - gotta save some CD's for that. I'm sick of the Cruel song though. XPN in Philly plays it every morning. She definitely has a cool, unique guitar style.
