Chances of 2 MSG shows in 2012?

There's always a bunch of people who have rumors of NY shows...

Anyone heard/know anything...?

I've never been to NYC and have made the decision i will do the 2 shows in MSG next time. I'm sure they'll do 2. Right?

    In 2012 MSG is closed for renovation from June-ish (whenever hockey and/or basketball ends) until October. So that kinda limits things.

    maybe they can be the last band to play before it closes, or the first band when it re-opens

    It's more likely they'll play NJ or Philly in 2012 especially if the NBA season goes South as that will allow them to start right after the NHL season.

    I can see them doing some U.S shows next year. Ed will probaly also do another month long tour, They also have a new record to finish

    Yeah. It's def happening this time. I can get tickets, that's not the issue. I'll either get my own through 10C, or i already have people offering MSG to me next tour. I'll probably take whichever seat is best, and if my 2 are available, offer them up to people who missed out, providing i get them.

    I need to do this. MSG would be a life experience to see PJ play there... and who knows when it will be the last time.

    Will do what I can, if/when I hear. My old employer there is involved on a high-up level, so I say things in ways that won't come back to them, or sometimes I can't say certain things because of how tentative they might be. Last show there in May '10 was reserved in Oct '09, then their hold was released by them for a week or so, then back on and quickly announced. So now is the time discussions would be happening, but even when things seem certain, things can change. They had other holds there in previous years, and didn't follow thru... but having said that, I haven't heard anything yet... but I also haven't inquired. I usually let the info come to me. I have no indication that anything is being discussed currently. I'm just glad I still have high up early info still, given that I left the concert business about 10 years ago. :D

    I'm hoping for an MSG show or two as well. I've never been to NYC so me and the wife have decided we are going to make the trip from Cincinnati and bring the kids along next time PJ plays there.

    Nice. NY's a fun city. I was really close to going last year but work was pretty busy that time of year. In retrospect, I definitely made the wrong call. That will not happen again. :lol:

    I think it would be unreal to see and overwelming for me anyways. I live in a town of 8000 people and going into some place with like 8-10 million people :shock: Biggest city I've been to is Toronto, 2 -3 million and thats big enough for me, although I was in Washington DC last yr & not to sure how big that place is. Be very cool to see the band you love in a city where they seem to always play these epic shows :D

    Man, I love that my city is known for these epic shows but does that mean less chance for me to get tickets to a show at my own doorstep? :cry::cry: I'm happy but I'm sad.

    It's not like the Spectrum or anything like those would be special shows. They are doing renovations over like a 4 year period as described above so they don't need to lose a full year at once. Rangers played first few weeks of season on the road to accommodate. So dates would be really tight. Of course, if NBA cancels season, I'm sure there'll be plenty of open dates in May.

    My guess is izod center in NJ. Personally, I hate that, but the only other NYC area arena option would be Nassau Coleseum, and we know that's not happening.

    i pray it is MSG again this year. i did the last 2 msg shows and wow............by far the best PJ shows i have seen.
    it was a bit of a pricey trip, im in Canada but worth every penny. truely i don t know if i could ever miss another back 2 back MSG Pearl Jam trip..........nothing my credit card can t handle :D

    Jones beach sucks. Sound sucks and the fact you can't drink inside sucks even more. Rather see them play central park or some other outdoor venue.
