A buddy in college had tumbleweed connection and it was a good album. I enjoyed it. Sorry if this wasn't much help. But Tumbleweed connection is a good album.
EV Solo: 7/11/11 11/12/12 11/13/12
Start with this one.
Absolutely!.. Great album.
6/12/08 - Tampa, FL
8/23/09 - Chicago, IL
9/28/09 - Salt Lake City, UT (11 years too long!!!)
9/03/11 - East Troy, WI - PJ20 - Night 1
9/04/11 - East Troy, WI - PJ20 - Night 2
Start with the self-titled and end with the 2nd greatest hits. If you go further, that'll just tarnish what you've just had the pleasure of discovering.
thats the only album of his i own also, a great album
Hands down.
London 2013 "The Dundas Hookers on Crack" Show
I listened to that live 11.12.70 album, its ace. Just finished Connections and Elton John, now on Yellow.
Could anyone recommend me songs that they think are equally as powerful as Candle In The Wind? It's just so damn powerful!

I don't think his 80's stuff is necessarily bad, but he definitely toned down the stage antics and took a more family friendly and soundtrack oriented turn. I still love 'Sad Songs Say So Much' and his version of Pinball Wizard. Side note: A few years back at a PJ Show in Seattle, Brad opened and played 'Benny and the Jets,' Which was AWESOME. Definitely seek it out
SOMEONE SAVED MY LIFE TONIGHT. If you haven't already listened to it. Written after he was married, realized he was gay, and tried to commit suicide. My favorite Elton song. The rest of his career is just as heralded. He became Capt. Fantastic. If you haven't seen Tommy- watch it. It's a musical film from Elton and The Who base on The Who's 1969 rock opera musical album.
To quote Rick James, "Cocaine is a helluva drug!"
Yeah, I forgot about that....
