{Ed starts to talk but stops when he gets a flag thrown at him. He looks at it and picks up a different flag (Brazilian?) and says he likes that one better. He says they have only played here twice in their twenty years but that they (Brazilians) are one of the best groups to play for}
The first one was Flamengo's Shirt, the most popular soccer team in Rio and Brazil, then he picks up Brazil's soccer shirt. He had a very diplomatic and clever behavior showing only the second one...
Our boy's learnt the lesson of going into foreign places, from when he grabbed young Swedish Ida at Copenhagen 07 and had the Swedish flag flapping around on a Danish stage

What can I say? The Rio setlist was UNBELIAVABLE. I never saw something like that at a single concert. For me the highlights were Nothingman, IMMORTALITY (one of my favorite songs), Blood and Indifference. 30 songs in almost three hours? Really? PUTA QUE PARIU!
Just a minor complain: I thought - and still think - Rio's perfect opener is OCEANS. Can you imagine how awesome this set would be with it? I think this link should clarify my reasons to you http://ego.globo.com/famosos/fotos/2011 ... neiro.html
By the way, Rio de Janeiro must have something magical on its water, I guess. The crowd and atmosphere were very different from both São Paulo concerts - much more passionante and less 'blasé', you know? And I speak as a brazilian, not a foreigner, so I may have a point LOL.
And yes, a huge part of the crowd said "NO" when asked about trusting the government during "Mother". Seriously, even I didn't believe it.
Me and my friends already saw the two São Paulo shows and the Rio one. Today we are heading to Curitiba and to Porto Alegre on friday. Oh, yeah: I forgot to mention we will be also attending Buenos Aires next sunday. That should make a good amount, uh?
Yet, I want to hear Present Tense, In My Tree and some Binaural stuff (they didn't play any songs from this album, still). Maybe Footsteps, Breath, Smile, In Hiding, Crown of Thorns, who knows?
Man, I have to wake up in five hours to take my flight to Curitiba, but i'm so excited reading all of this reviews i don't give a single fuck! Do you know what's really awesome? To see how people that aren't from South America appreciate our crowds. Thank you so much and I invite you for the remaining concerts here and, of course, for the next tour.
Salve, salve, brothers!
I am myself like you, somehow...

Buenos Aires is crazy! been to concerts there. For the band must be amazing but the crowd is too insane for me. If you go there be careful, specially with the local security people at the venues. They can be rough...

I love Buenos Aires Dimi HAHAHAHAHA the city is beautiful, but the crowd in concerts is too wild. I know that from experience, got crushed at the barricades and pushed back by the security, not a very confortable position LOL

Oh my god.
After the line, "Mother should I trust the government?," did some people in the crowd not yell, "No!"?
Cant imagine anything toping that.
I cried and screamed. (No voice whatsoever today)

That´s a nice number! It sums almost 150.000 people in 3 shows!!
Plus both Curitiba and PA the total attendance would be higher than 200.000
