Anyone ever watch it, if so where's a good place to do so? I'm in Queens so I'm thinking of the Long Island City area.

    LIC is ok.... My favorite place (my mom used to volunteer giving out water) is right under the tunnel when they come off the 59th Street Bridge and turn on 1st ave... to watch them just hit Manhattan and get the big cheers is awesome.

    my co worker is running in it.....but i will be in long island so i can't go hand him hot coffee
    i post on the board of a band that doesn't exsist anymore .......i need my head examined.......

    ^Exactly that! Stopped by for a short while 2 years ago in Brooklyn, near the BAM, and it was definitely really cool to see all those people running by with everyone cheering for them. Plus sometimes you see people in ridiculous costumes so it's always entertaining! Couldn't help but crack up when I saw someone dressed as the cowardly lion running past!

    Great time, wish I could make it this year. With all the different teams and everything going on in NYC I feel like this is one of the only days that all of NYC is into the same sporting event, at least Manhattan.

    We used to watch it every year down in LIC and it was a great spot. Haven't in about 10 yrs now, so with all the expansions down there it may be a little more crowded. We used to stand at the 14 mile mark on
    Vernon Blvd and 44th drive.
    Have fun it should be a beautiful day!

    That's pretty much where I was. My viewing ranged from the Pulaski Bridge to 48th Avenue to Vernon Blvd and eventually to the approach to the Queens Plaza. There were four people I knew running and I saw two of them. I even saw Mark Messier run by.
