Bond 23 = Skyfall

The title and cast of the 23rd James Bond film set for 2012 was revealed. It will be called "Skyfall" and will star Daniel Craig, Judi Dench, Javier Bardem (as the villain), Ralph Fiennes, Bérénice Marlohe, Naomie Harris, Albert Finney, Ben Whishaw, and more.

Edit: Oh, and the plot will not be a continuation of the Casino Royale/Quantum Of Solace storyline.

    I wonder what Ralph Fiennes is going to be. He makes a good bad guy, maybe a henchman?

    I liked Casino Royale a lot.

    And I've had Quantum of Solace on my DVR for like a year and a half. I'll get around to watching it one of these days.

    Quantum is nowhere near as good as Casino Royale. CR is one of my favorite Bond films.

    I like "Quantum Of Solace", but you're right, it's not nearly as good as "Casino Royale". Although it has quite a bit more action than "Casino Royale" and some people like that. My main problem is that they tried to make it like a Bourne film with the shaky camera and nauseating editing. I still like it a lot more than the stupidity that was "Die Another Day", or that one with Denise Richards. The car chase at the beginning was pretty cool, and I liked the ending.

    Oh, I almost forgot, Sam Mendes (American Beauty, Road To Perdition, Jarhead) will be directing.

    First photo from Skyfall has surfaced

    To me it's just a still photo and nothing to get excited about (even though I'm ready for the next Bond movie) but it's apparently a big deal to some and tearing ass around the internet.

    To me all I see is Daniel Craig holding a gun, and possibly needing a shave. But I've seen comments like "This looks so good!!!". How anybody can judge an upcoming film from a still photo, and one that just shows Bond holding a gun is beyond me, but anyway, there it is.

    Hell yeah, I've liked Daniel Craig as Bond. Now having Bardem as a villain? Should be another good Bond film.

    Yeah. I even really liked Quantum Of Solace, although from things I've read on the internet it's kind of universally panned. I thought it was great though, a lot of people's issues aren't so much with the story or the acting as much as the shaky camera-work and seeing it as an attempt to copy the Bourne movies. But I love most Bond movies. The only ones I don't like are the Pierce Brosnan ones, except for Goldeneye which was great. The rest of his movies were bad and got progressively worse until Die Another Day which was just mind-bogglingly stupid.

    I completely agree with you about Brosnan. Goldeneye was damn awesome.

    sam mendes will be the only reason i see this film. one of my favorite directors. Away we go was such an underrated film

    Casino Royale is by far my most favorite Bond film. Followed by QoS. I can't wait for this one!
