Career question...recruiter or direct??

All right fellow PJ'ers, I'm looking for a little career advice...

I recently applied for a job through a recruiting agency. I have spoken with them twice in the past 3 days, and completed a phone interview with them today. Now I am waiting to see if I will be moved on to an in person interview. In the meantime, I have been able to research the company and found the job posting on their website with an avenue to apply directly. Do I reach out to the hiring company directly, or do I stay the course with the agency? The job is a great fit for me and my qualifications, and I'd really like to land the position. However, I don't want to kill my chances by being overly aggressive.

Advice and/or thoughts??

I am a college student that has never landed a job through an interview, so take this for what it's worth...

Apply in every avenue you can! There is no such thing as being 'too aggressive'. I would directly apply and email them every other day, call every week. Dont think of it as aggressive, think of it as persistance.
