but mikes donation page was set up before the backspacer offer so how do you know those comments on the page are just for the backspacer donations?

that's what really confused me

I don't think it was set up before. Because I'm 8th on the list & I knew about this many minutes after Mike posted this on his Facebook & Tumblr page.
