mine was definitely just seeing him in general. seeing him in action and him around Jeff and Stone was amazing to me. I also loved when they showed the first time Eddie singing Crown of Thorns and then when he said, "andy would have loved this". just beatiful

he cracked me up when he was talking about going on tour with Warrant

When they played Crown of Thorns at MSG, Eddie said, "Andy would have loved it here, ya?"

When Andy said (paraphrased) "This here is the band of the 90's. And if not, well...I'll just get a new band."

curious...did EV ever have any interaction with Andy before he died...it kinda comes off that he personally knew him when he said that. Andy died 8-9mos before EV was in the picture, right?

No, Eddie never met Andy, but I'm sure Chris, Jeff and Stone have filled him in over the years...

I thought they were all pretty priceless moments... He was fearless...and he was a character - "Plethora of delights..."

Would love to see more footage of him...

Kerouac once wrote, "While looking for the light, you may suddenly be devoured by the darkness and find the true light"

...for some reason that seems to encapsulate Andy. A being of true light.

I had never seen footage of Andy or of what he looked like before I saw the PJ20 movie, and I was pleased with how much it featured him. I was mostly bemused by the outfits he wore, but I guess that was the late 80s for ya!

He really had a magnetic presence about him. The footage of him was fantastic. They were a really great band for the short period they were around.

Imagine if you're Stone and Jeff and you go from being in a band fronted by Mark Arm, to Andy Wood, to Eddie Vedder. Talk about knowing how to pick 'em...

Based on the footage that he wanted to play arena tours, MSG may not be a 60,000 arena, but it's the fucking Garden ;)

Loved that he was being interviewed (or interviewing himself?) holding a stuffed frog :lol:

I saw Malfunkshun: The Andrew Wood Story weeks before PJ20. Highly recommend it, although I was probably bawling through half of it.

Of course I had heard about him before and also seen some videos, but I was very pleasantly surprised by the footage of him in the movie. And it made me curious - I think I'm going to check out that documentary :)

They released a MLB documentary on VHS in the early 90's that a lot of that Andy footage was culled from. If you can find it, it's totally worth the search.

Ah yes. "The Love Bone Earth Affair"!

I still have that VHS on my shelf even though I currently don't have a VCR hooked up

I think just about 100% of the Andy footage was from that (an exaggeration I know, but it really seemed that way).

And his outfits.. I know it was the late 80's but the long formal gloves were a nice touch.
