That's just the listed price...it's not like it's actually selling (or will sell) for that much.

I bet someone pays the $500 too. I would be somewhat surprised if this doesn't sell.

As much as I want the set, I draw the line much sooner than this. Pathetic. :(

The most expensive selling single blu-ray movie is a limited edition (of 1000) working humidor box set of Scarface for $530.

There's no way a PJ20 movie with a few hours of extra footage is going to hit $500.
  • That is exactly why all of us who missed out are so pissed off.

First, this has been posted already, secondly - It says in the auction that he doesn't want to sell it, that's why it's so high, but if someone's willing to pay that much, then he's willing to part with it. Why is everyone complaining about someone trying to make some extra money? These are hard times for a lot of people and I don't blame him for trying! The only one's complaining seem to be the ones who didn't get a copy in the first place. Stop whining! You snooze you lose! Some of you people can be really immature and jealous! Get over it! AND YES, I'm one of the lucky ones that managed to get a copy, so nanny-nanny-boo-boo! HAHA

It's comments like this that let the rest of us know which members are scalpers. Also, the vans, zombie shirt, and backpack are all on there. I think it is just shitty.

Congrats, KM, you just won Shittiest Post of the Day. Some of us plain missed it, others didn't have the scratch to snag it, some of us waited (didn't think it'd sell out in presale)... Nobody's whining...they'd just like a chance at owning this. Y'know, but thanks for rubbing it in...

I assure you, I'm no scalper! You can believe what you want, but I'm just tired of all the bitching from the less fortunate! There's no point in complaining, if you want something, buy it. Don't complain about something because you've missed your chance! It's pointless! If you really wanted this dvd you would have bought it when you had the opportunity, and if you want it now, you'll pay $500. Simple.

So what are you trying to accomplish by posting in this thread? All you're doing is antagonizing. Telling people to stop complaining while insulting them has never worked. I assure you, it's just you that comes of as immature in this instance.
    The Scary Monster
  • Well, I personally hope they all fucking choke on the cash they make from their greed. That is just how I feel. I don't think that what they are doing is immoral or greedy just b/c I didn't get to buy one. I think that the fan club needs to better monitor member sales. I'm very sure that some people has at least three-four membership numbers and they take full advantage of each one. I refuse to stoop to their level and pay extra just to have something, but it doesn't mean that I can't be pissed off about it. Also, I didn't get to buy the backpack b/c my internet was down that day, which just means that I missed out. However, the dvd/blueray special edition was not limited to fan club members which I think was bad thought on the fan clubs part. If they were truly "limited" edition and we all know that the word "limited" gets thrown around a lot, they should have been limited to members only or at least available for sale throughout the pre-sale period. It's not that difficult to have dvds pressed, so they could have just had the necessary numbers that were sold during the pre-sale pressed.

The bag is irreplicable (by rational means) and sold only in one format...a bag. If you want the bag you only have one avenue to take.

The blu-ray is replicable through many moral means (other editions) and the unavoidable immoral means.

Once the hype dies down, you'll be able to get the blu-ray around the original price.

I often see ebay riddle with Buy it Now's with crazy high prices. I often wonder if people actually ever buy them.

It seems bidding is getting less common on ebay?

Anyways. Dude probably never bought it with the intent to resell it. Like everyone else he/she probably thought there would be lots to go around. My guess is the 10c underestimate the demand for them, and had already put in a fixed order from the plant to make them. All of a suddent it becomes a rare commodity. I really thought they were expensive to begin with, but i'm a bluray whore and finally put in my order a few days before they sold out. I can't say when I was pretty tight on cash, that I didn't consider flipping my benaroya vinyl. It's probably the most valuable collector's item that I own. Never had to though.

I can definitely understand someone not willing to part with it for some cash, but willing to part with it for a crapload of cash.

I do imagine this sucks for anyone that couldn't get their hands on a copy. Hopefully the the 10c doesn't underestimate the demand on the next limited edition bluray.
