The pros are that you get everything in a really well designed package, and you have the opportunity to get it signed by the band. Also, the Drop in the Park vinyls should be sick.

The cons are that you are getting 4 copies of Ten. That seems a bit much for me, and quite repetitive. But if you plan on listening to a couple cd's here, and a couple of vinyls there, then it completely works out.

That said, I'm gonna get the Deluxe version, because I really don't want 4 copies of Ten. I know I wouldn't listen to each one enough to make it worth the purchase. I just need the Unplugged DVD, and a couple of CD's. I am pissed that I'm missing out on the chance to get a signed package... oh well.

All right. To put it in perspective: Most don't mind dropping $150-200 for concert tickets to see them in concert. most PJ vinyls go for upwards of $100 on ebay (after Vitalogy). In this pack you are getting 4 vinyls, 2 vinyls are a live show and 2 are Ten records. A DVD of unplugged, 2 CD's to match the vinyls of Ten so you can listen in your car or download to an ipod, a cassette of the mamasan trilogy which Ed sent to Jeff with Once, Alive, and Footsteps. A notebook with transcribed material by Ed throughout the years, and some photos of the band. to me, this is a no brainer. The cons are listed above with having duplicate Ten albums on both vinyl and CD. But that aside, I would kick myself if I hadn't ordered this. Good luck with your decision. Hope this helped.

  • well the thing is...i'm only 18 and a senior in highschool, i have inheritance money but i'm supposed to be living off of that for the next few years...2,000 of it is for my to use readily, the thing is i might want to buy a new guitar, or drum stuff, or concert tickets, a new camera (i'm an aspiring film maker) and not to mention lunch for the remander of this school year, i'm not getting a job until the college apps are done, so again that being said, should i miss out or go in?
  • I caved and bought it.
    Can't wait for March!

$140, yes...but by the time it gets here, weeks after release too, it'd have cost $230+ ($140+shipping+tax+PO fee) frown.gif

I'm trying to decide but I know as soon as Christmas comes and goes I'm gonna have some extra money and snatch it up. Can't wait until March.

There's a statement in the goods section saying that there will be plenty of pre-orders available, so you can definitely wait 'till after the holidays.
