ive heard through people i know at comcast-spectacor that they are trying to get them there before it is torn down, a friend also told me he heard something along those lines on mmr the other day. keep those fingers crossed!
Small my table, seats just 3, its not crowded, its just lucky me
MMR made an "announcement" of a rumor that PJ will play the Spectrum before it goes down at the end of September. I have heard the exact same rumor about Springsteen, Phish, and the remaining members of the Grateful Dead. I would happily attend all four, but the similarity of the rumors makes me nervous that it is just a dream for now. After all, Eddie told us to say goodbye to the Spectrum for him at Camden II. The bottom line for me is if these bands thought the Spectrum was so great and they are so sentimental about it, why the hell haven't any of them played there in years???

Probably because Comcast/Spectawhore had determined more money could be made by using the Wachovia Center, or LiveNation had determined the same with the Tweeter Center.
But now, if they realize the potential of money to be made off of multiple farewell shows per band, you can be sure they'll seize the opportunity.
And as I've said before on this very topic...I'm SO there!
