I have seen your face
beautiful I imagine
your eyes your soul deep like the sky
they live in the sky

Your words
stirred my imagination
each story told in images
that remain still
cherished for there will be no more
I imagine more

I imagine
you will know me when we meet
we will be long lost friends
though we were never lost
we were found in kinship
shared in nature and common love

I imagine
we will smile through eternity
together

Unseen Beauty

Moves with beauty,
long ...
there has been love.

A red setting sun ...
reminds of a new day to come.

Embers warm nature, fire is desire,
both burn within the heart ...

A heart so freely given ...

A heart then surely missed.

Words written like red hot candy,
sweet and warm, they linger ...

they stay ...

for those who listen,
for those who wait on another day.

Bulldozer

Bulldozer makes a path
of no direction

rolling over words
shuffling
twisting
tossing aside

eyes closed to their meaning
making circles of confusion

flattening precious bumps
that hold learning and insight

while the deafening machine noise
drowns out knowledge and understanding

from the sharing hearts
left bleeding

Bulldozer moves forward
only to repeat again

and again

crushing moments of a lifetime
on a path to no where

not beyond

Like a statue you stand
honored
revered
placed for remembrance

Gold are you Statue
priceless
precious
most valuable

To all

Strong are you Statue
in trust
in kindness
in love

Smiles are easy, they come and go,
can mean much or nothing at all.
Our first smile was with our eyes.
One glance lingered, brought you by my side.
Connecting from our mind's eye,
deep into our souls . . . eyes smile.

a favorite carol to hum
your mitten covered hand to hold

Snowflakes on your eyelashes
wet and warm with rosey cheeks
layers of wool on a wooded winter walk

Hot chocolate in a Christmas mug
add a splash of peppermint schnapps
mini marshmallows that float on top

Mistletoe held above your head
a bashful wink and a smile

A small gift from my heart to yours
wrap my words up pretty

bitter black and blue you

though you pretend to be
genuine green
you are an icy blue you

frozen fingers
type frozen words
chilling piercing
and sharp

a fortress of ice
holds your heart
there's a fear
in melting you

inside of you.
A place to comfort fear and release the sadness that freezes your tears cold and blue
with these cold frozen fingers on shaking hands that reach out to you.
