  • The most underrated musician in all of rock, he's written so many amazing songs, and he continues to deliver top draw stuff.

Black Love is my favourite record he's done, I can barely convey how that record makes me feel.

Yeah he really does have an amazing way with words, and I love how honest he is. He's also brilliant at putting together songs that seem to fit perfectly together. Too often a band's album will sound like just a bunch of songs thrown together, but he always manages to link them through both the lyrical themes and the musical styles - I definitely think there's an art to that.

  • If you haven't already you need to get 'Live at Triple door'. I think it's an itunes only thing but it is outstanding.

    Agreed, thank you!

Also, unrelated but I have been so hooked on the song "Number Nine" lately. What a fucking awesome song with Dulli and Lanegan on the vocals. Simply perfect.

definitely one of my favorites. when they announced the Twilight Singers San Francisco show (doing Blackberry Belle in order), this immediately came to mind as the one I was really excited to hear...(along with Feathers).
....while lined up outside the venue, we could hear sound check. They played Number Nine and, without warning, I started crying. such an amazing song....
  • Number Nine is really something else. I would love to hear them both to do that again one day. They closed the Gutter Twins show with it.
