Black Love is my favourite record he's done, I can barely convey how that record makes me feel.
so fucking cool.......
some of the lyrics just astound me. he so super talented.
Yeah he really does have an amazing way with words, and I love how honest he is. He's also brilliant at putting together songs that seem to fit perfectly together. Too often a band's album will sound like just a bunch of songs thrown together, but he always manages to link them through both the lyrical themes and the musical styles - I definitely think there's an art to that.
Never listened to any of his solo records though...

Enjoy mate,
Rands.
Thanks for this
Agreed, thank you!
Also, unrelated but I have been so hooked on the song "Number Nine" lately. What a fucking awesome song with Dulli and Lanegan on the vocals. Simply perfect.

very nice. thanks for sharing.
definitely one of my favorites. when they announced the Twilight Singers San Francisco show (doing Blackberry Belle in order), this immediately came to mind as the one I was really excited to hear...(along with Feathers).
....while lined up outside the venue, we could hear sound check. They played Number Nine and, without warning, I started crying. such an amazing song....
