guess this means no single in time for christmas

last year we got it early, but it appears from that email they sent out that they haven't even recorded the song yet :\

    I am wondering if the single will be made available as a download from Ten Club before we receive the actual vinyl single. It makes sense with the "Digital Lounge" and recent website redesign, as the band seems to be embracing technology more.

    well i think that with the whole piracy epidemic going on, the record companies of the music industry have pretty much waived the white flag and are saying "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em" we will soon have to see how this new album pans out

    And this is a surprise why??? Haha, I expect the single in Feb. usually by my birthday! But yes, last year it was early, sort of.

    it's a holiday tradition......for it to be late. They should change it to Valentine's Day single. you know tie in the whole "love of vinyl" thing. at any rate I'm really lookin' foward to it whenever it may be.

    I'm guessing the "single" will be PJ's "TEN" songs played from the 2008 tour... which would explain why Kat was asking on the (other) pit what people's favorite Ten songs live from the most recent tour were.

    that would be great. make it available for download for 10club members by christmas via download, then send the single via snail mail anytime they want! :)

    Didn't they mention that it might be the All The Way song(CUBS).

    Haha, I have one too! In fact that year I bought one for me, and one for each of my brothers for Christmas. I never wear mine, but it's absolutely not for sale.

    I don't particularly mind that its late (every year) but, I mean lol...I'm always curious to know why its late every single year. They know its coming every single year, the "holiday season" is the same time every single year. Having said that, I'm thinking they do it on purpose. At least I hope so.

    I think this year, more than any other, they are entitled to be late, so long as they actually are planning on recording something for the single. Clearly there's a lot going on for them right now... they're probably swamped with legal issues for this eventual catalog reissue, the new album and tour that will hopefully follow, the Ten reissue, signing random Super Deluxe sets, and getting this website up and running (though I would assume they've got people for that).

    I'm hoping that the fact it's so late in being recorded this year, is because they've been going hell for leather creating awesome new songs for the new album

    I live in Australia and am yet to ever receive my Xmas single, so release date is unlikely to impact on me. However, I love the concept and still hope for the day that I open the mail box and there it is, waiting in all its glory

    I hope there will be new song(s) on it, who cares about the ten live songs? They're already availabe on the 2008 bootlegs. Anyway, with the last mail they say that the band is recording new material, so no worries..

    I live in Australia and i always get mine, not always on time, but usually through Jan sometime, some people are thinking that the new single may be 10album songs live from last tour, which is a good thought, may be the song they're recording is Deep? As it was not played on the last tour?!

    Maybe, just maybe the 10C email that was sent out was written a few weeks before it was sent out. Meaning that by the time we recieved it, the recording was finished and set off to the presses to be made and possibly will be shipped out soon after the New Year. Wishful thinking maybe, but still possible.

    The thing is, just like someone else was saying here...it is tradition that it is late...It's like a little bit of Christmas past arriving at your doorstep...The minute you forget that it is coming you open your mailbox and it is there!!! It has been that way ever since I recieved my first single 10 years ago...
