I am getting the Super Deluxe Edition of Ten and I am wondering if anyone could suggest a good turntable with USB ports. I will love hearing it on vinyl but also want to be able to put Drop in the Park on my I-Pod. Thanks in advance.

  • i couldn't help you speciically...but i'm sure if you go to radio shack (not saying they would have good turn tables) and they can help you with trying to get vinyl onto the computer...i don't even think that is possible unless you have some weird expensive converter machine...i think that's why PJ is releasng Drop in the Park on Vinyl to prevent any ordinary person from pirating it...but good luck with your endeavors
  • there are several turntables that convert to mp3 out there. I saw one in the ads this week for Best Buy, Curcuit City and Sears. 100 bucks to 275 for the LP/CD/mp3/casette combo.
  • I just got one for Christmas. The brand name is audio-technica. It is pretty good and converts records to MP3. It was about $175

  • Definitely the easiest and most efficient way. I am in the process of doing it but I refuse to go out and buy a new record player. I just use software I found free on the internet. Works pretty well. formats such as Flac or even WAV/AIFF are far superior to MP3 though. Memory is cheap. Don't Be.

How do you play those other formats? Itunes definately will not.
  • I saw one in a Target advertisement a couple weeks ago for one that can burn to CD.

ALSO the sound is supposed to be FAR BETTER THEN ANYTHING to DATE.. BETTER THEN VYNAL .i purchased a bluray player myself and hooked it up to my suroundsound VIA FIBER OPTICS... the sound is insane...its has so much depth to it...i played my pearl jam t the garden dvd... blows away the cd/dvd played on a normal HD player...
