Holy shit. I didn't see that. I went on to expressobeans (listed as "Pearl Jam PJ20 Backback") http://www.expressobeans.com/public/detail.php/141970 and it said the most expensive one on there was $445. Over $1,000...insane.

No shit. I bet it is credit card balance. That makes me want to punch them square in their balls because when they default on their payment the rest of us get to cover it, in one way or another!

if you ever have $1000 to burn like that you can probably hire boom to do it ;)

my guess is that this was a paypal scam that's going to be a sad wakeup for the person in kentucky who ships that sucker overseas without tracking
  • Since it was an auction site there must be at least two people willing to pay over $1000 for one of these. wow

Fuck that. That has to be a joke. A grand for a BACKPACK.
  • The backpack sold for 1025 was a fluke, upon further review the birders on the backpack had no bidder history. As a matter of fact if I read into it properly the backpack was given to a lower bidder at 378.90. Now this is just some overlooking at the item on eBay. I'm no pro when it comes to eBay but from what I've found I think I found out it was a scam. But still I want a pj20 backpack just like everyone else but still anything over 100.00 is to much
  • Yeah, I would need to see proof of this to believe it. I've been watching them once in a while and they have been consistently going for about $300 - $375. HOWEVER, the auctions for them are starting to thin out and I see now one is listed for a 'buy it now' for over $900 and another auction has the bidding up to $436 (and it says 'reserve not met'....LOL!!!) so who knows. How could the reserve be higher than that? Dayamn.....

How long 'till we see the Ltd. Ed. PJ DVD's pullin down $500 ? The zombie shirts are already askin for $170!!! You would think that the econmoy is BOOMING the way PearlMerch is demanding ridiculou$ amount$

Check out this from that zombie shirt auction page:
This auction is for the Pearl Jam zombie 666 just like the one I will be wearing on Halloween, and hopefully in time for the Soundgarden New Orleans 2012 October 28thin a few day. So, Hurry up ten club! If so. Nevertheless, it will be fun with or without the tshirt.

This is official pearl jam merchandise.

Also, please note that your shirt will be new accompanied with a copy of the original receipt.

Sold out merchandise! That is for the M and L

    I have all sizes. S M L and XL.

Winning bud must email their size preference.

This is this is a pre-sale, but shipping is guaranteed 24 hours from when merchandise is received. To help satisfy the anxiety over pre-sale merchandise I, I will be proving a, email confirmation of the purchase and not a picture to the buyer, because there is a chance that this process will be delayed until after Halloween . Luckily this is not Ames bros, and Ten Club is very astute with shipping, and my order was placed within the first hour of the listing.

I hope to guarantee within 15 days from date of purchase, and pray for it to arrive before Halloween. If it doesn't arrive before Halloween, I will gladly add a surprise within the package for your misfortune. Or, I will issue a full refund, at any time you decide that is the best course of action.

So be it if the PJ20 backpacks are gone. They need to just make another stock backpack with a different design or a stickman patch to appease the masses. It can be available sporadically throughout the year.
    Just a thought.

I saw that on EB too, it totally insane and they are few other backpacks for over 400$ right now still bidding.

Yeah, a new backpack would be nice or even some other new goods, there are so many items that can be made I don't know why 10c is so limited to black t-shirts and black hoodies, what is the problem, no time, no people to make designs, they can make so much more money it's not even funny.

This type of thing has happened before, people start a new account and bid something crazy high just to screw with the seller. If it's a seller who has a history of obviously just being a flipper, selling multiple rare items immediately after the 10C sale, I guess it's funny.

But the seller will just relist it and end up getting 300-400. But yeah, 1000 isn't a real sale price.

not sure how you come up with this info

from what I see the winning bidder 0***2 has 269 feedback
and runnerup y***l has 131 feedback?

This is not happening. The account that won the $1,000 backpack has over 200 feedback with 100% positive. $1,000 is a real price for sure.

Must be great for drowning kittens....what a rush that must be....spending the equivalent of a per capita Pakistani GDP on a backpack.....

I hope you never forget to wash the backpack at anything less than 95 degrees Celsius! Or reproduce.
