Ooh, does this mean he is doing posters for this tour? I don't think he had them last time around. Going to see him at Carnegie Hall, can't wait!!

He is doing posters but only if you buy the VIP package

Hmm, didn't see a VIP package for Carnegie Hall. Oh well.

I was at Saturday's show at the Opera House and loved every second of it! Chris' voice was amazing and he was on great form, happily cracking jokes, telling stories and bantering with the crowd.

I'm not 100% on the order but I'm pretty sure the setlist was something like this:

    1. (What's So Funny 'Bout) Peace, Love And Understanding?
    2. Can't Change Me
    3. Wide Awake
    4. As Hope And Promise Fade (Two-Drink Minimum)
    5. Ground Zero
    6. Outshined
    7. Like A Stone
    8. Call Me a Dog
    9. Be Yourself
    10. Blow Up The Outside World
    11. Sweet Euphoria
    12. Sunshower
    13. Thank You (Led Zeppelin)
    14. When I'm Down
    15. Burden In My Hand
    16. Fell On Black Days
    17. Mind Riot
    18. Preaching The End Of The World
    19. Hunger Strike
    20. Wooden Jesus
    21. Seasons
    22. Black Hole Sun
    23. Doesn't Remind Me
    24. Billie Jean (Michael Jackson)
    25. Imagine (John Lennon)

Too many highlights to list them all but 'When I'm Down' was beautiful (Chris played a vinyl version of Natasha Schneider's instrumental piano part and sang over the top of it, very cool indeed), 'Mind Riot' (even though he introduced it as being from 'Louder Than Love'), 'Wooden Jesus' and 'Seasons' really stood out for me. I wish I could have gone to night 2 as well!

Wow! I really wish I could have grabbed one of the posters. :( I didn't have VIP tickets though, I tried but they were all sold out.
I loved hearing him do 'I Promise It's Not Goodbye', here in Adelaide, I got all sappy like a complete twit.

Yep, and they were both crowd requests. Chris said at the beginning that he took requests so people kept shouting things out. It wasn't annoying like it was at Ed's solo shows though. Chris was encouraging it and playing with the crowd, somebody yelled out 'Spoonman' and he said he'd only play it if someone played the banjo!

As far as I can remember, his replies were:
"Somebody said Sweet Euphoria? Yeah, OK, I'll give it a shot"
"Wooden Jesus? I've only done it like once before so I'm guaranteed to fuck it up. We'll see"

He also commented on how special it was to play Sydney Opera House compared to other famous venues: "Soundgarden played Madison Square Garden in 91 supporting Guns N' Roses - which meant that we played then everyone waited 3 hours until they started to play - and people said how amazing that nust have been. We're from Seattle, it wasn't that special for us cos we weren't a hockey team!"
