I remember when we first heard the movie was coming out. It was just a simple documentry about the band Pearl jam. Maybe for people who forgot about the band over the years and it was just to make the go "oh yea, I remember them"....simple right???
It just seems like critics and the "hardcore fans" wanted more....but it wasn't meant for that. Sure we all know the backstory and we as fans wanted to go deeper and touch on certain subjects.....but I think we all kinda missing the point. Just a great american rock and roll band.....and leave it at that.

Great post. I'll admit, I wanted a little less Ten and some more 2000 - present. But I'll watch it for the 5th time this evening. I must like something about it

I am so excited to see the Documentary finally! I have no problem with it being heavy on "TEN". It'll take me back to the time that changed my life forever, being 11 years old and watching them play "Alive" on Saturday Night Live and just being floored...The reason I love rock music to this day, and another reason why Pearl Jam is the greatest band EVER! :D

I just watched it and feel like it will answer many questions that have plagued me, or rather my friends, for the last twenty years. People are always asking me-

Why do you wear Pearl Jam t-shirts so much?
Why do you play them so much?
Why do you travel to see them?
Why was it necessary to see them four times in one special week at the Spectrum in 2009?
Why does it cheer you up so much and pick you up at times when you're at your lowest?

I feel like I can now pop this DVD in and say to my friends "do you now understand"? And I think they will.

    Thank you so much Cameron!
