Where do all those bullets go?

Just catching up on the news, watching clips of Gadhafi's death and wondering......what is with all the firing of guns in the air? That is something I just do not understand. It's just so stupid and unnecessary, in my opinion. Just jump and down and yell and scream and high five each other. No need to fire those damn guns. And where do those bullets eventually land and at what speed???

    Someone do the math for me. Watch the Gadhafi clips and estimate how many rounds are fired off in the minutes afterwards. Calculate the estimated angle of the rifles / pistols, and let me know when, where, and how those bullets will land. Thanks.

    there are places like Puerto Rico, that people will fire guns in the air to celebrate New Years. Typically people get killed and injured every year from it.

    I would guess same thing happens all over in places like Lybia when they celebrate like that.
