Maroon 5 music is ok, but they are really cool guys. They recently collaborated on a dance tune with Christina Aguilera which wasn't that bad for that type of music, I just don't don't like music that promotes fist bumping or overall douche like behavior.

But hey, it sells records, so I don't blame the guys I suppose. They have a rock background and seem to appreciate the classics. The lead singer Adam is a judge on that show the Voice, but again I've heard him interviewed and is a really cool down to earth guy.

So now television channels are "evil.":lol::lol:

If there's an evil channel out there, I'd have to say it's MTV....and maybe the Disney Channel.

Adam Levine to Fox News: Stop Playing My MusicMaroon 5 frontman delivers ultimatum on Twitter

Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine went on Twitter earlier this afternoon to demand that Fox News stop playing his band's music. "Dear Fox News, don't play our music on your evil fucking channel ever again. Thank you," he wrote. It is unclear what exactly prompted this public outburst. When reached by Rolling Stone, Levine's representative declined to comment.

Though it's very common for musicians to ask politicians to stop using their songs in campaigns – Tom Petty, Katrina and the Waves and David Byrne all dealt with this earlier this year – it's unusual to see an artist make this demand of a network, even one as highly politicized as Fox News. While musicians very seldom get paid performance royalties when their music is used on campaign stops, television networks are obligated to pay out royalties every time a song is used in a broadcast.

He got some publicity for Maroon 5 ...
and announced it on twitter emoticon-0136-giggle.gif strikes me funny
  • Maroon 5 is one of those bands who's musical inspirations and the music they produce just don't jive.

I remember reading stuff about bands they like (like Pearl Jam, the Who, etc), and I just found this again, but their iTunes playlist has a pretty good mix of cool music. But they make such poppy, somewhat cheesy music.

The playlist is actually quite good (http://itunes.apple.com/gb/playlist/maroon-5/id75797178).

A great quote from Adam Levine on that playlist: "Leash" (Track 5): "VS. is one of my favorite albums all-time. I remember reading an interview with Eddie Vedder where he talked about Quadrophenia and how it changed his life when he was a teenage. Well Ed, VS. saved mine. Thanks.
