I know it's been talked about to death but I just bought the new metallica album. awesome to say the least. also, the riff that sounds like why go is about 10 seconds in a 7 minute song that sounds nothing like you've heard since the justice album. killer.

I doubt they actually ripped PJ off. Just a coincidence. I wonder what they think of grunge.

Because the album is awesome. Much better than anything pearl jam has put out in the past 10 years (not counting Lost Dogs) if you are into that kind of music. Obviously you are not or you have some sort of grudge.

I second that. And I haven't liked a Metallica album since Justice.

And I am old enough to remember when the early albums came out.

maybe you should at least give it a listen before you judge....it's a good album. better than anything metallica has put out in a long time.

I wouldnt say that exactly because I dont agree with him. First off, the only similarity they have is that they start the song with drums only... the beat is completely different. Im a drummer and I play both Rocket Queen and Why Go... Not only is the beat pattern different but the timing is different as well. Come on now.... you'll figure it out if you listen to it. Secondly, that new metallica song does very much sound like why go, I agree. I wouldnt say its a rip off though, at least not intentionally. Immitation is the most sincerest form of flatery... lol
Third, dont tell Metallica that Metalica ripped off Metallica because Metallica might sue Metallica. My god, that song "The day that never comes"- wow does that begining sound alot like Fade to Black!!!! Either way though, Im glad to see Metallica trying to get their sound back, but PJ will always RULE!
