I really like it too. I saw it live at my first PJ gig in Sydney '98.

I works well on No Code, there is enough experimentation on that album to get away with it. I think it would sound rotten on any other album, but I love it just the way it is.

I had a feeling today that the new album may contain a few more vocals from Jeff and Stone, after their solo album releases it seems a good progression. I'm looking for a White Album style double album/ concept album with contributions from everyone, but then I'm just being greedy!

I really dig it. Especially live. Stone is so hard on himself when he screws it up.

I like it. I'm a fan of stone's solo stuff too. I was lucky enough to see "mankind" Played live in Houston back in 2000. Wow, 8 years ago seems so long ago, but not really. When I saw PJ in Dallas in 2003, they didn't play any no code songs. "Habit " was on the setlist and they skipped it.

You know, for some reason for the longest time I couldn't figure out why Ed sounded different in that song!

I did end up figuring out why at some point though!

you can tell Stone enjoys playing this song live. i was fortunate enough to see it performed live at the '00 Toronto show, as it was a chance for Stone to let off some steam and redeem himself after the previous show in Montreal where his equipment issues caused some hick-ups during the set,...

Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mank ind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words- "mank" and "ind". What do these words mean ? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind.
Liberace was great on the piano but he sucked on the organ.
