 Wow, I thought his PJ20 performance was good! His voice his just amazing and I don't know about you guys but it seems like he's just not even trying!:lol:
He told the audience he had no setlist and so everyone was just yelling out what they wanted and he just kept playing them. Which was both good and bad because some woman kept shouting out the same thing and in true Adelaide fashion, some bloke responded, "Shut the F@*k up ya silly bitch!".

He joked about Snowtown (a place outside of Adelaide where some pretty horrific murders happened) and he wrote a little song about it which was pretty funny. He also told the audience that cities in Australia sounded liked they were nice and easy to pronounce when your drunk. Then he demonstrated with a drunk slur "Brisbane.....Brriizzzben!. "Adelaide........Arrrrdlayyyde".:lol::lol:

This was the setlist:

1. Can't Change Me
2. Be Yourself
3. Wide Awake
4. As Hope and Promise Fade
5. I Promise It's Not Goodbye
6. Ground Zero
7. Fell on Black Days
8. Blow Up the Outside World
9. Thank You
(Led Zeppelin cover)
10. Hunger Strike
11. Call Me a Dog
12. Man of Golden Words
13. Say Hello 2 Heaven
14. Problem Child
(AC/DC cover)
15. I Am the Highway
16. When I'm Down
17. Mind Riot
18. Burden in My Hand
19. Seasons
20. Sunshower
21. Billie Jean
22. Doesn't Remind Me
23. Ticket to Ride

Encore:
24. A Satisfied Mind
25. Like a Stone
26. Spoonman
27. Black Hole Sun

All in all, one of the best male voices I think I have ever heard live. Crazy good! Thanks Chris and thanks to you guys for reading this. ;)

There are lots of good songs on that list.

Is it just him and a guitar this tour?

Yep. He mainly played an acoustic guitar but changed it up to an electric for a couple. :D

Yeah, very nice! If he does another solo tour there in the States which I'm sure he probably will at some point, I definately recommend going to see him.
You Aussies should grab your tickets quick and go see him too. I knew he would be good but not THAT GOOD! :D

Thanks for the review and posting the set list. I have tickets (third row, center--whoohoo) for his show in November in Poughkeepsie, NY. I am very much looking forward to it.

Oh you lucky buggers! I WAS kinda late to the party getting my tickets but I still think they were pretty good regardless. I think it's probably because it was such a tiny venue and his voice is so powerful that it doesn't matter so much. Have a great time mate!

Was lucky enough to see him from front row last night in Adelaide. Absolutely sublime. Never seen a gig where someone nailed every song, without fail. Faultless. Has some of the best pipes I've heard.

No setlist - taking requests all night.

Highlights were Comfortably Numb (after Man of Golden Words), the TOTD mid-set stretch, Ticket To Ride, Thank You, Mind Riot, and of course all the SG hits.

Went in expecting a quality show, but without too much riding on it. I left completely amazed.
    Come to send, not condescend...

I loved that he did Comfortably Numb after that song too!! Very jealous that you got front row, good stuff! :)

Going to see him in NOvember..can't wait...thanks for sharing the setlist...now I know what to expect :D
  • I was three rows back from front in Adelaide - what an amazing show.
I turned to my mate and said, one of the coolest things about it was that through the magic voice that was CC, I could hear his guitar pedals click.
Hunger Strike was it for me. Unfortunately my PJ20 book only came on Friday. If it came on Thursday, my wife said she would have found a way to get CC to sign the Temple of the Dog page!

I don't know about you guys, but I am really quite embarrassed about the yelling and the requesting.
It took the shine off the show, and I really felt like standing up and yelling to everyone to shuddup! (course that would just make it worse).

is anyone going to see Soundgarden at BDO? - I'd love to, but going to BDO is not very appealing.

Yeah I agree. I felt like yelling out "just let the poor guy play what he wants to play!" Did you hear the guy that yelled at that woman to shut the f@*k up? That was kinda harsh though hey? :?

  • Yes, I just wished everyone listened to him. Lots of Ferals, but could've been worse I guess. Reminds me of EV going off on his solo concert here (2nd night).

CC seemed to handle it really well. The Snowtown thing was good also. At least he'll remember Adelaide!!
The amount of guitars he had on the side of the stage was amazing.
I lost count of how many times I got chills from certain songs, then again, I've never been so close to the stage for a big event. (was 7 rows back @ EV @ Thebby).

What are your thoughts on Festival Theatre?
The place is daggy, and needs a re-vamp, but it's got to be one of the best acoustical venues I've heard.
