Disc 3: The Fans Are Alright Over 80 minutes of extras created specifically for the die-hard Pearl Jam fans including rare and never-before-seen live performances

Where do people keep getting this idea that disc 3 is only fans talking about the band and being interviewed??

Not sure either but I think the description was recently updated to what you posted

Yes the description was updated. The original description said the disk explored the relationship fans have with the band. That along witht he disk title sounds like its mainly fans talking about the band. Personally, I think they just updated it to make it sound more appealing. I hope I'm wrong and it ends up being really good.

i agree with both sides of this really. 10c might have alot of issues but it still is a fan club at the end of the day and no one is forced to join. my wife loves Tori Amos (sorry i dont get it but i guess people feel that way about pj too!) and her fanclub shut down (i think) so im glad we have it. but adding things like item limits and such seem like a cheap easy change they can make to make alot of us happier

I highly doubt the blu rays wont be for sale again. It just says Out of stock and not sold out. If it was sold out id think they would remove the link from website.

I remember the PJ20 book being out of stock and they are for sale now.
Im sure they know the demand is now there for the limited edition set so they can always go and produce some more.

    Be patient.

I agree completely Speedy. You have valid points and are one of the few on this thread that realize that the 10C has NOT lived up to their end of the bargain.

The bashers of the OP are more in line with the 'Koolaid' drinkers of late.

not bashing 10C <> being a koolaid drinker.

I have my priorities straight and I get out of the 10C exactly what I want:

I stay in mainly for tickets.

I love the newsletters and holiday singles, but my life goes on if the single comes in December or September.

I miss on-sales for limited goods, make it in time for others. Somehow I find the will to live.

No, 10C is not perfect. Yes they send mixed signals and could use some better customer service. Sure, maybe they should order more of the limited goods to make everyone happy. And yes, maybe a lot of the way they do things need to be overhauled.

But I'm not a Koolaid drinker just because I don't let it get to me to the point where I demand things change. OCCUPY 10C! Meh.

...a sold out pre-sale is a funny term for a Blu-Ray... for ticket I'll understand those are really limited... Blu-Rays they can make as many as they want and according to the demand they can make more, at some point they will...

by the way a white BS for the Deluxe Blu-Ray, anyone...

    This

Speedy is right, but I don't expect much for 40$ a year.

OP expects the 10C to know he can't afford the Special Edition for 6 weeks, and to keep one on hold till he is ready to order for 40$ or 50$ Euro (for his membership).

See, I expect little and he expects a great deal.

I have also gotten EVERYTHING I have wanted this year. I suffered thru tickets, I have a back pack, I have a Caucasian vinyl.

I also ordered 200$ worth of stuff to give away at concerts.

Now that I think about it... The 10c never gave me a discount on any of that stuff.

    Never mind!

    Let's burn this bitch down!

To the original OP...you got what you deserve. The 10C is a fan club, not a department store with a huge warehouse to draw from. You had a month to buy....it had 'Limited Edition' in the description and you took your chances.
Contrary to what some have said in this thread, the 10C is actually a good example of running a business. They want as little as possible sitting on their shelves...and how they generate interest for their goods is up to them and rightfully so. They likely have a formula to figure out quantities and go with it...if you miss out on something...tough shit. Can't please all the people all the time.

  • I'm actually thankful the 10C even offers us these various items. I understand the items are limited and that I may miss out on a few things that I don't have the money for or that I don't find out about in time. But that said....I still appreciate that they give us the opportunity to purchase these cool items.

    Thanks 10C ! ! !

  • my opinion is that 10c need to change some stuff, especially that ticket problem, for not fans have to be hours in front their computers..i wish the shipping system can change for international members..4-8 weeks is long, but if this gonna happen with shipping cost more,i prefer this waititng than pay 30+ $ only for shipping a poster..need to see the last issue, with paid member must have only access to limited edition items and not all..thye need to change,or atleast the no refund-no transfer ticket system for be fair for someone cant travel..the holiday single is taking too long and must do it earlier..i guess pj 20 make this to be late..seems they let it go cos pj20 was priority..but when they sell a limited edition item, even sold out in 1 minute or one month, you cant complain that you didnt score..its limited..

In terms of shipping D, the US is almost 2 weeks now. It is the cheapest way they can deliver. So cheap is slow.

Your tix post is completely accurate.

Right on D. No excuses really for why it is so late though... they knew PJ20 was in the makings for the last 20 years ;)

hehe..i think every time someone at 10c meeting mention the fan holiday single ,all the rest would say.."fuck that!!did we book the shuffle from chicago to alpine?all ok with strokes manager?when we announce pj20 weekend,?whats the deadline for the posters to arrive in store?did the dvd company confirm the date?are we ok with hotel in Edmonton?when tracks will be on road for Alpine?etc..
oh,and i guess, the main question..tim must ask that.."hey,noone open a box of hoodies to see that those dates and state of pj 20 was fucked up?
