The Smashing Pumpkins encourage fans to record their shows as long as they distribute them for free. Here's a link to the download. Setlist and info. I was surprised to hear Mike (new drummer) keeping up on Geek USA and Thru the Eyes of Ruby. I still don't like the new version of Bullet with Butterfly Wings and this is coming from a huge fan. I would have liked to also have heard something from Zeitgeist (Tarantula or United States) or American Gothic (The Rose March). Overall it is very good quality for an audience recording and it sounded like a fantastic show. They played a few of my favorites that I didn't think I would ever hear live again after Jimmy left the band.

Listened to this show twice and he is a kinda sucky during Thru The Eyes.

Can't wait to see them over here though.
  • I'm not a musician but I thought that Thru the Eyes sounded pretty good but I really liked Geek USA. It sounds like it would be a harder song to drum. Any drummers out there know which of these songs would be more difficult to play?

Hmm he doesn't really play it too good, but much better effort than Ruby.

Waiting for the damn soundboard, have already heard 2 diff sources.

Oakland is out there too but again soundboards from these USB sticks should be out soon.

I saw that the soundboards are available as a USB stick for $25. Are these not available after the show? Or are they available at a later date?

You buy at the end of the show and they have a link to the show online somewhere I believe. 72 hours after the show I think but none have surfaced yet :-S OR unless I don't know where I'm loking.
  • Thanks for posting but I'm kind of in the same boat of waiting for the soundboards to eventually surface.
  • I went to the Oakland show on 11/07 and it was amazing. They played Muzzle which is one of my favorite Pumpkin's songs. The last time I hear them play it was the Mellon Collie tour back in 96' Go check them out if you have a chance.

I also bought one of the USB sticks... great quality by the way. Too bad Pearl Jam isn't doing this right now. It would have been super rad to leave PJ20 with both days on a USB.
