    i loved what chris c was saying about reach down in the movie.how o my god were gonna pull this off & this guys got something f'd up & thats gonna come out at some point, good luck. mike: yeah i'd say thats pretty accurate....he is the most underrated guitar player ever.....

    Okay, 9 pages of tribute to Mike's guitar playing doesn't even touch his greatness, of course...but what I want to pay tribute to here, because I don't think it gets enough attention, is his songwriting. I am going through the hardest time of my entire life right now and finding enormous comfort in Down and Inside Job especially. Even more so when remembering what Ed said after Inside Job on ACL, something like "writing it was the easy part, it was the living it that was hard." Helps to remember that Mike was also in a shitty place at one time and dug himself out. I can too. THANKS, MIKE!!!!!!!!

    Picture yourself at night, listening to the solo of this song, and looking up at the dark sky and stars. Sent me chills that night, standing in the lawn and hearing it and looking at the sky. Thank you Mike for the religious experience that night. It felt like God was sending me something. You sent me my PJ obsession and love and made me feel a part of the PJ community (although I would join the fan club the next year).
