I just got my single in the mail, and my turntable has no option for a 10" setting :-(

I needed a good laugh and this just made my day! (absolutely no offence intended.)

no 'offence' taken.....especially from someone who cannot spell :?

Maybe it was a stupid question to most, but I didn't know the answer to it. Excuse the hell out of me. I won't bother with my n00b questions around here anymore.

You'll have to excuse the know-it-all dickheads on the forum here.

Like Dewie said though... just manually place the needle at the beginning of the record... if it won't let you, look for a "cue" button on your player.

and just to confirm, because I didn't see a straight answer about the speed here, but this 10" plays at 45 rpm. Spin that black circle!

Thanks, I haven't got mine yet, but asked about the speed in another thread.

And yes, I have come across automatic turntables which can't handle 10" records before. Unless you can manually override the the thing (read the manual??) - you may have a problem

this guy has the same problem as you (same deck)- but he never got a response.....

Yeah, I wasn't sure what the speed was til I got mine yesterday. Someone said that each side was a different speed, but that's definitely not the case.

All you need is the correct RPM.

There's no 10" setting on turntables.

    .

    Mine does. Dual 1218. 7,10, & 12" and 33,45, & 78rpm. They're out there.
