Pros and Cons of this new forum

You can use this account to purchase goods (shame my 10 club membership was purchased under a different account)

Cons:
Very slow speed, pages take a while to load
Prefer the old format

Not sure, I still think the old forum rocks, your thoughts?

    Maybe it would make much more sense to wait till this new forum works 100% (at the moment it feels like maybe 60%??) ... and then we can compare our pros and cons. but now?? ;)

    My only problem with it is I have a hard time reading the name (over the avatar) of the poster. The green lettering over over the blue/green background makes it tough to read.

    Does anyone know if any of the two can be changed?

    Also, why does my profile show 130 posts when my total at the other place is 2,885. Can we get an option of turning off the avatars? I need speed over most everything else. All the threads from the other place should be automatically loaded here for now and vice versa. Where are the signatures? I know it's probably far from finished so for now I'm going to be back at the real Message Pit.

    If you use firefox you wont have that problem, on firefox the poster information part is on a light gray box, so you can read the name. On IE I also get the green letters over the greenish background that are hard to read, so I don't use IE at all for the board, well I really don't use IE for anything lately..:D

    I kinda prefer the old one, but mostly just cause I was so used to it. I don't really see a reason to dislike this one except for that it's different

    haha it says i have one forum post. the old forum i had almost 1500 and so far on this one ive posted quite a bit and yet i only have 1 post :P

    this one has no "New Posts" button. which prevents me from using it. it's the only way i like to surf the board.

    Mac OSX and Firefox have same green on grey layout. Kinda like having no post numbers listed.

    this is probably a bug, cause only your own "new" threads are counted ... comments to another threads are missing.

    If you click the green # by "new" for a thread on the forum (under the total number of replies for the thread) it will take you to the first new post you haven't viewed.

    I like the new forum and figure it should only get better. One thing I really miss that the old forum had was the preview first post option to see part of the first post of a thread before clicking on it.

    I'm sticking primarily to the old board for now but that's mostly just because I'm not good with change. This board is still a work in progress, so I think we just need to be patient. Does anyone know if it's possible to have a spell check option on a board like this? That would be sweet!

    my biggest problem right now is that theres no "user CP" section... i post in a thread and then when i want to see the latest posts a few days later it takes awhile to find the thread or i forgot what threads i was keeping an eye on... not cool

    the other things are less important like the emoticons and the preview feature when you hold your cursor over the thread

    all in all id say im getting used to the new thread... i hope they plan on fixing my main problem

    didnt the mods say its a work in progress.just wait it out.i'm sure everything from the old board will transfer over in due time. its so cool to finally have an av on the main pj board
