Don't Dream It's Over.
I think that would be a cool cover.

Anyone dig this band?
They have some good songs, I am not a huge fan but rate them.

Ed joined them on stage in Seattle last year and sang World Where You Live and Something So Strong and sounded great, so I'm sure they could cover Don't Dream It's Over.

I'm going on Thursday. Will you be the token person wearing a Peal Jam shirt?

I swear to god, every concert I go to, I see someone wearing a PJ shirt.

  • That would be a really interesting cover actually. I personally love Crowded House, especially Don't Dream It's Over. Being that their sound and PJ's is fairly different, I think it would be cool to hear.

That's awesome, never knew he performed with them.
Wasn't sure if Ed was into Crowded House.
    Love those 2 songs btw.

I think Eddie's voice suits the songs well!

Red PJ superman tee, from the Chicago 07 shows. Will look up to catch up with Gus (of State of Love and Trust duet with Eddie fame) at a Newtown pub somewhere beforehand.

I am going straight from work, so I will probably just have a polo on. And either before or after, I will be trying to find an Asian restaurant for the customary Salt and Pepper Squid. MMMMMMMM

  • Ed was on a compilation album/concert with Neil Finn called Seven Worlds Collide. Ed Sings a couple of other songs on there with Neil but Neil closes it out with a killer version of Don't Dream It's Over, I highly recommend it.
the sun has set, the sun will rise another day....
  • omg LOL... I was searching for the song all weekend. And found it yesterday. I didnt know Ed sang back up vocals in 96 for a song.

I don't think DDIO would fit with Pearl Jam's style too well - what I would LOVE to see is PJ do Split Enz's "Take A Walk" as Eddie did with Neil on Seven Worlds Collide - that song is such a magical fit for Ed's voice - check it out:

    http://www.amazon.com/7-Worlds-Collide/dp/B000TPYXRM/ref=pd_bbs_sr_2?ie=UTF8&s=dmusic&qid=1228094184&sr=8-2

If PJ were to do a Crowdies cover I think "Hole In The River" would be fun.
i am seeing them on Thursday and Saturday of this week :)

    Me too :)

What I'd love to see from Neil is his cover of The Smith's "There Is A Light That Never Goes Out" (also available for preview at linky above).

PS> For those not in the know, the Seven Worlds Collide project part two is happenin soon - chance for an Eddie pop-in???...

Yea! I saw Ed singing Take A Walk with Neil Finn... and those other brilliant musicians
    fucking brilliant...

    My prediction:
Ed will be surprise guest at 7 Worlds II and will sing 'Dirty Creature' (Split Enz).

    Dreams are free, after all....
