I saw that on the public voting The Cure are nominees for this year. Now, my question is this, why bother even voting for this? Shouldn't they just get in there automatically? Putting this to a vote is like asking if the sun should come up tomorrow or not.
we're all going to the same place...

    I'm frankly shocked that they are still not in there after releasing their debut more than 30 years ago.

    They have defied and reluctantly defined fashion since they began, have made nearly a dozen timeless albums, crossed over so many genres it is beyond belief and never really compromised themselves. Even when they made pop singles after Pornography it was only to break the stereotypes surrounding them rather than to sell out.

    And yet Paul McCartney got in as a solo artist just cos he is an ex-Beatle when his solo career is about as good as Five Star? Who knows how these things work?

    exactly...and dont have to mention their lives are 3+ hours.,..this band is one of the best ever exist in the history of music..and their songs are unique..they are a category by themself..pop,rock,soul,heavy metal,funk,rnb and The Cure..with one of the best charismatic frontman ever..

    I love the Cure and its been too long since I've seen them. They need to get the hell back on the road.
