Today I say a large flock of sandhill cranes circling high in the sky. They're a beautiful bird with a wonderful song that were nearly driven to extinction in the 1930's. It amazing to see so many of them today. Good things do happen in this world. :)

    Cool colors.
How were they almost driven to extinction?

KA-BLAM! Hunting. It's good to have them around still!

We have migrating sandhills that spend time on our lake early spring and late fall,
they mark the change of season.

Love the sound of the flocks, it gets me running outside to find them
often so high it is only a whisper and a small V in the sky :D
