    So sorry, and sad. I know Mikey struggled with some issues, wich lead him to leave Weezer around the time Green album was released. RIP Mikey. I didn't get to see Weezer with you playing, but I know you were an inspiration to the guys, and, an essential talent to the band.

    It's true but it was suicide; he had previously attempted suicide through overdose which did stop his heart before as well. I suppose he never was able to get past leaving the band with his drug issues. Such a shame that nobody was able to hear this apparent cry for help. Failed suicide attempts are often a cry for help; so sad.

    I hadn't read anywhere the COD, but if it was suicide, then that tweet makes perfect sense.

    This article mentioned his previous suicide attempt and that it's too early for toxicology reports but it's highly suspected give his history. I suppose he was very alone and for whatever reason the tweet wasn't taken seriously.
