Good news!!

Efforts are being taken across the country to legislate labelling of GMO content in our food! Several states are putting forth measures to mandate GMO labelling in our food so we can have a choice as to what we eat.

Go organic! Better tasting, better for you, better for the planet!

Go this this site to support these measures:

I'm trying to go more organic but damn it's expensive.

I know what you mean and that's a bummer, especially in economic hard times-- I totally sympathise. Do you have a local farmers market or CSA (community sponsored agriculture)? These are great ways to save money and support local growers. Also, some natural food coops offer members savings.

I struggle with this as much as most of us. I try to remember that eating healthy organics will save money in the long run by cutting my medical costs.

    Any other ideas out there?

My farmers market on Friday and a different one on Saturday had a booth set up to create awareness for this. I grow organic and do not use GMO seeds. I also buy organic. Problem is, to feed the growing world, companies like Monsanto are almost a necessary evil. Interesting article from Barrons this weekend on a related topic. Not sure many on here read Barrons though....
