They say sounds, they say words
When I’m not around
Talk of things, talk about spring
Bring it on back down
I’m the dick
You’re the crown
The cynic versus the optimist
At times I talk way too loud

Have you ever thought about being you
To say what’s on your mind
Let it ring in
Let it ring true
Seeing a little scary
right there in your eyes
Finally the truth
Finding out where they would lie

I talk, talk of things
They won’t play
Scream in the crease
They walk away
Bitterness stuck
You’ve worn out your stay

Doors been shut right in my face
One more thing I can’t replace
As I try to find an ear
Wondering out loud
Why am I the one they fear?

    thank you very much
  • nice piece. I really enjoyed this
The only thing I enjoy is having no feelings....being numb rocks!

And I won't make the same mistakes
    (Because I know)
Because I know how much time that wastes
    (And function)
    Function is the key
