    no not exactly :?
had an ex do a miserable attempt last year, and took like no joke 4 sessions to cover it-
owned his own shop for like ten years, you'd think he can handle two triangles for a yield sign?
anyways, that one's finally gone - but another (un pj related) remains...
and the guy fixing it is losing his sense of humor with my lack of ideas
so hard! i don't know wtf can go over something! don't suppose you're bored and want to brain storm?
  • is there a way to post a pic on this forum..?
  • WM31482WM31482 New York, NY Posts: 563
Yes, there is! But it requires Photobucket or something...
I can figure it out again in like 5 mins if I try I think- But if it's easier, I can send a link for now?
This is what he messed up now http://tradingphrases.com/picasso-dog-wall-decals.html?gclid=CIfr99W806sCFd505QodHizsSQ
Apparently he pushed a bit hard and the lines are slowing getting fatter and fatter
(although I don't think I agree it was done in anger haha)
  • It's difficult to do coverups.. general rule, the covering tattoo needs to be bigger and darker than original, therefore finding a tattoo for you both to agree on to be the cover up is difficult. Also a lot of artist may deter from touching other work so they don't become associated with shit work, and take undue credit for better work. (that might lead to broken hands)

    You know what's really sad??

This is me here - http://community.pearljam.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=133683

And today I got round 5 on my cover up.... going to kill him if I ever see him again!!

I think I'm going to need to get out my photobucket....
(you'll die if you see my PJ tattoo - soooooo bad!!!!)
I have another one close by that is not helping me out any!
I have until the 20th, that's my next appointment!
  • Ahh so you have this simple line drawing that had "blown out" lines. .. this can be fixed by a bigger tattoo over it. but you need to place a dark piece of the new tattoo over the existing.. obvious you prob knew that.. i don't know what you need help with. get something you like bigger than that old tattoo!!
  • did you have this tattoo done in the parking lot of a show??

    Um not quite-

    Then back to NYC
Then back to Hartford all in one day

So now that one looks like this.....

Of course he scarred me and now I'll always have a raised triangle, but you have to admit that's better!

(did I mention I wanted a 1 inch tattoo and not my whole left side done??)

  • eh not as horrible as i though it was tiny.. covering it had to be big

    Now working on this one...

Not raised and scarred like the old one, but close enough to the first cover up to make this extra hard

  • shit. it's far away from the new tat... maybe you could make it clouds... or a symmetrical tribal, add one across the side of hip
  • yeah that's looking a lot better =)

Well to be honest I don't care if they are one tattoo - two tattoos -

Anything that is an improvement will make me happy...

The cloud idea was thrown around today, except they turned into giant black clouds and that looked silly...

Here is where those buildings came from.....

Happened to have that poster on me that day haha

Any thoughts on how I can get a little revenge too here, I'm all ears :)

I'm sorry, you lost me when you said this?
add one across the side of hip
  • not sure about revenge... but what i meant was turning that picasso dog into a tribal design of sorts and being symmetrical by adding the same "tribal on the other hip (right side of body)
  • sorry i'm not much help

Can you even believe a Pearl Jam fan with Yield in hand came out with that??

He didn't even get the red and the white in the right spots!

I was wearing this t-shirt today, I was like maybe some birds?? Ha

You don't happen to have like a link to something similar do you?

I feel like at one point I was like just make it a swirly line I don't care!

Then by the time we finished round 47 on the Yield cover up I was out of time anyways lol

Well I realize it's a tough one... And I'd try to brain storm more if I had like some idea of what could go over that? Besides a big black circle that is?? Any tips on like what types of things I should Google?? (i.e. flowers, wind bars, except like whatever might work here instead of those if that makes any sense?)

I am thinking of reprising that Yield sign gone wrong too though.... Got laughed at a lot

Someone asked me if it was supposed to be a Superman Logo, and two others asked why I'd let someone practice on me like that - I could kill him!!!
  • yeah it could have been better! nooo i don't have any similar pics like this one.... the only thing i can suggest is think of something you really like instead of just thinking "i need a fix" cause you wanna like to look at it. def try things you like, fish birds etc. objects something you're really into! haha superman!
  • WM31482WM31482 New York, NY Posts: 563
I think the exact phrasing was "what the hell is that? an aborted superman logo??"

See my main dilemma is that I wanted what I have... Just not a messed up version-
I wasn't really planning on getting any more!

However I was a lil embarrassed going to the beach this summer... and I grew up on one!
Which is where my "do anything as long as it's now" mentality is stemming from currently-

I even had to ask my boss's son where the F I can get that fixed too, to make it more embarrassing....
