“You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something — your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life.”
    ~ Steve Jobs

Never knew he said that. Great quote. RIP Steve Jobs.
Lots of love, light and hugs to you all!

I've never seen a computer make people go ape shit before this. Amazing. Was that the one that had Oregon Trail on it? Loved that game back in the 80s.

I think it was the Apple II that we had in elementary school in the 80s. I dominated that game. You guys had it in high school? That must have been a much better version than the one we played. Gotta ford that river son.

It will be interesting what happens with the launch of this new iPhone OS. Apple stock got no love from the market after their unveiling and now the potential purchase of Yahoo by Microsoft sent both those stocks up today. Nobody really knows what the future holds for Apple and the sad passing of Steve Jobs leaves a major void in the vision of the company. Now I'm sure this Tim Cook individual is a fine executive and knows how to make decisions, but he takes over as the primary decision-maker in the largest company in the United States in terms of market capital. We'll see.

    Brilliant showman

    Great Inventor of Products

    Great Business Man

He's revolutionized how we listen to music, watch movies, compute, interact and buy items.

A great thinker who for the most part listened to his clients that bought what he sold.

As a complete apple fanboy, I just watched about 10 videos on youtube of steve jobs. A sad day.

And just 2 days ago I was pissed about the letdown of the new iPhone. the iPhone 4S stands for "4 steve" now.

When one of my friends emails me, he signs his name and then it says "Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish". Until tonight with all the people posting about him, I had no idea that came from him. Shows you how much I pay attention to certain things. Anyway, 56 is too young whether you invented a computer company or are anyone else.

It wasn't played on an Apple II, it was played on a Windows XP and it looked the version you probably played on.

He was my age. I have a little cancer, too  . Amazing that with his resources, the cancer won out :x . I'm working toward a happier ending, I hope.

I've never had anything other than Macs. I'm not one of those annoying "mac guys" .....but, I will say, it has always blown my mind how everyone else can rip off all the Mac ideas (computers, OS, phones, tablets) and act like they are some kind of technology leaders (and get rich, too).

    RIP.

I was wasted when I wrote that and may earn me a little break from the board. Lost my old man to cancer this year and bitter about it.

He was an incredible dude and changed the world. This is very well done

Yeah, man. Every time I hear about cancer now it gets me fired up and I guess my point was that regardless of what he created, 56 is too young for anyone to die. I missed the point though, the guy straight up changed the world and will definitely be missed.

Cliffy, I apologize if I came off insensitive about it talking about the company. I have lost a few close friends and family to cancer myself.

Not at all man. The dude absolutely changed the world with his company. I don't really know what I was getting at. I guess just that regardless of what he did in his life, cancer is a fuck face.

He changed my life. I had had a child and dropped out of college when I saw a neighbor's Apple II+ and fell in love. Worked a dirty janitorial job to get the money to buy a used one and tried the basic programming tutorial that came with it (blue horses with orange feet anyone?) and was hooked. Got my BS in CompSci and turned my life around.
    Thanks and RIP Steve.

-first learned computers on a Commodore PET
then the school got a grant and bought a bunch of Apple IIe...learned programming with the plotting dealy even though it was on a green screen, when we got the Apple IIgs my pics looked awesome! Spent my lunch time/recess time getting my 'Apple License' (only kids who had one could use the fancy schmancy color screen IIgs Apples 8-) )

Even had a version with the same name as me!
