HE WAS ONLY 56! WOW and he had great doctors! This proves that some cancers just cannot be beat!

Still, in those 56 years he accomplished more than the great majority of us ever will. It says something about living a productive life while you have the chance.
He was actually sick for a long time. He had pancreatic cancer like 6 or so years ago. They said it was cured, but you never really cure that type of cancer. Then he had another illness a few years ago. Then, earlier this year he had another set back, and that is why he resigned 6 weeks ago. You are right that they were very private with all this. But, putting all that together, it did not look good.
I think he and Bill Gates will go down as the Edison, Wright Brothers, etc. of their time. He will be missed by people that don't even know they're missing him. And that's probably one of the greatest compliments you can pay someone.
Westboro announces protest of Steve Jobs’ funeral–with an iPhone

Westboro Baptist Church--best known for its reviled anti-gay protests of American soldiers' funerals--announced last night on Twitter that its members will be picketing the funeral of Apple founder Steve Jobs.
"He had a huge platform; gave God no glory & taught sin," Westboro leader Margie Phelps tweeted--from her iPhone.
Let's hope that Phelps has managed to resist her own iPhone's magical powers to "teach sin."
i hope a few of them leave there with an ipad shoved up their arse...

Ah...I love these guys because, in this day and age, this is the only issue where conservatives and liberals can stand united in saying: "WHAT A BUNCH OF ASSHOLES!"
A man that stands for nothing....will fall for anything!
All people need to do more on every level!
not many can claim they changed the world
congratulations on a life well lived
This looks like a job for... THE FOO FIGHTERS!
Hail, Hail!!!
