Why would someone or almost an entire group of people (Republicans) oppose something called "The Jobs Bill"

You don't create jobs this way. Instead, incentives should be put in place for private markets to create jobs. Government does not create lasting jobs, nor do any lasting economic good, by hiring a construction worker to work on infrastructure and pay them with a credit card. But, in the long run, we're all dead... so, cheers to this jobs plan. Government solves everything.

do you think that government spending and raising taxes on the rich is the only for the country to create jobs?

I guess that would probably be why someone, or an entire group who do not support tax increases would be against this particular "jobs" bill...they aren't against jobs

it has provisions in it that the republicans have already voted for.

their opposition to this tells the country that since obama proposed this bill, they are now against the things they were for just a few months ago.

it is really a joke that they would rather see the president fail than see the country succeed.

right, they aren't against the entire bill, just don't think tax increases is the way to go.

    is that really a joke?

Or should they just blindly pass whatever the president proposes?

What will this jobs bill do exactly? how many people will get put to work? for how long?

Hahaha I had to laugh about this. So, because they call it a Jobs Bill, it has to be passed?

They are still for those things. They like the continuation of the payroll tax reduction. It's that Obama wants it passed in it's entirety. The Senate Republicans called that bluff. They were willing to put the bill as is to a vote. REID said no way because the Democrats don't agree with it.
Sorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.
