HBO. So glad it's back on. One of the most underrated shows on TV. Makes me want to move to NYC. Also probably the best opening on TV. Cheers is a close second as far as openers go....

    You've never seen Garth Marenghi's Darkplace? It's hilarious. It was a British TV show, only lasted 1 season. The premise is that this horror writer named Garth Marenghi had a TV show in the 80's, and they are going back and showing it in a "Special Edition" with interviews from the cast members. That is the intro to the "show within a show", it's basically about a hospital where all this weird shit goes down.

    OK, I guess I need to clarify. Best opener on TV with VALID (good) MUSIC selection and VALID (good) SCENERY selection goes to How To Make It In America. Well done with the reply links, however.

    As for this show, I've never seen it. I might check it out though.

    Just watched the 2nd episode. Best music in any TV series right now, in my opinion. Props to their music supervisor.
