Will they discontinue the classic iPod?

I have a client meeting at 1 so I won't be able to follow as closely as I want.

    I wouldn't be surprised that they discontinue all ipods except ipod touch, whether that happens today or a later date...it'll likely happen.

    ...and 1 more thing...that how it usually goes when Steve help these Apple events...so that I'm curious to see if there is 1 more thing and it's usually pretty big.

    I am wondering if 1 more thing could be them keeping the 3gs and offering it for free or deeply discounted for 2 year or 3 year contract...

    i have the 3gs as well and I don't think I'm going to upgrade to the 4s. My assumption is that within a year, the 5 will come out, especially when apple sees very little upgrading from the 4 to 4s. I plan on upgrading to the 4 instead. I'll jailbreak the thing and get siri on there anyway, since apple took down that app today.

    yeah i agree. i'm gonna wait for the next one. Besides i still have another year to go anyway on my 2 year plan for an upgrade :P

    I'm a little underwhelmed. I have the 3GS. I'm still quite happy with it. I need a new ipod though, and don't know if I should go for a touch or grab a classic before they get phased out - I've heard the 160gb sound isn't as good as the 30gb.
