ALready called my mom. The tomato pie in Utica is actually made by the bakeries not pizzerias (seriously if anyone here is into Italian food, you need to make a stop in Utica, NY if you are ever around there) and is usually sold out by 1 or 2 in the afternoon. She picked me up a box and I'll get it tomorrow.

    Room temperature.

It's funny how you take some things for granted. I mean when I grew up every graduation, confimation, wedding, etc party had it there and now where I am no one even knows what it is. Shit, it was even served at the dinner after my dad's funeral.

I am literally drooling thinking about it.:lol:

It's the same thing that I grew up on. A friend just came out from Pennsylvania and showed up on my doorstep with room temp pizza in hand. I about tackled him! It was so damn good. Now mind you, my boys and I polished the box off in one sitting...but still. It was damn good.

We had it for everything too. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and every party you can think of. We had it. They baked it fresh daily and was typically sold out by 11 or 12.

I only found it at one place out here...and it's in Niles. Damn...I might go there today just to get some cold pizza now. :fp:

And don't get me started on pizza boats.

And now I'm drooling too. Thanks

Same concept as your tomatoe pie...except it's shaped in a gondola boat shape.

    damn tasty as well.
