  • i have plenty of skateboards to ride, many with better art than these, and many that cost a bunch more than $45 bucks, i dont really need a new one...but i wanted to hear what people thought about em...i would think that they would be hot items, sold out and going for lots of $$, im glad they arent but i wonder why not...

I actually still have a Powell and a Jeff Kendall Santa Cruz board, old school decks.. I can't ride the (as we used to call them) freestyle boards.

  • I've been waiting for 3+ years for them to go on clearance sell, with no luck. They must have a pile of those things.
    "It's all happening"
  • they dont have very good pop thats for sure...they are more of an art piece.

I set mine up with Indy 139s and SpitFire wheels... I was going to ride it.. but, it was too nice to thrash. So, i strung a little piece of picture frame wire on the lead screws and hung it up on the wall... with the trucks and wheels. Looks great.
I gave a spare blank to a friend that let me crash at her pad in Hawaii a couple of months ago.

Now, I also have an Emek T.S.O.L. skeleton bass player old school and a Kozik Smokin' Bunny glow-in-the-dark on the wall, too. I just picked up an Emek Bam Skeleton Geetar I still need to rig.
    ...
And i still ride that thrashed to shit Hobie.

Those old school decks are cool... not the easiest to ride... but I always liked the shape.

  • i seriously want the Noam Chomsky one. i'm a psychology major and he was a linguist that changed the way scientists look at language acquisition. he challenged B.F. Skinner's theories as his grad student. he's such a bad ass! (yes i realize my nerdicity and i'm proud of it! ;))

my thoughts exactly...they go on clearance and im all over em...they must have a bunch left...maybe this thread will convince them to do just that....time for a 10c sale!

the howard zinn one is for me...his book the people's history of the US is a must read...its the exact opposite of most of the history books found in schools today, because it focuses on what other books avoid, the TRUTH! youll never want to celebrate colombus day again...whats the point? he didnt do anything grand...he didnt discover america...all he did was kill hapless native americans..

some of those old skateboards on this thread are sweet...ill post a shot of one of my custom longboards...when i get a chance...
