Ice T is awesome! Is he coming with Body Count? Saw them at Mayhem a few years ago. Met him. His band kept our CD from being thieved by some sneaky chick who stood at the end collecting signed things.

I added Glen Hansard and Colm Mac Con Iomaire, in San Diego (I'm moving).

I am very, very tempted to add Bonnie Raitt with Richard Thompson at NJPAC, but my kid's last concert at Tanglewood is that day, and I don't know if I can make it back to Newark in time.

    Besides the classical stuff:

    Chris Cornell BergenPAC
Bob Dylan and Mavis Staples, Tanglewood
    Bryan Ferry at The Beacon
Augustin Hadelich and BSO at Tanglewood (okay, that's classical, but he's amazing; the Sibelius violin concerto offers lots of virtuosic shredding :-D )
    Belly at Union Transfer
PJ at Wrigley 1 and 2
    Ohana Festival, Dana Point

A bunch of classical stuff, mostly my kid's performances and the tail end of the NYPhil season.

All those who seek to destroy the liberties of a democratic nation ought to know that war is the surest and shortest means to accomplish it.

Ha ha ha... I'm a broke ass Musician / Artist / Model Builder. I make enough to make ends meet. My wife on the other hand, I'm not ashamed to say, makes a great deal more $$ than I. She covers most of the big $$ tickets, while I cover the smaller shows.

It doesn't pay much more than beer and a little weed money, but my band needs a new bass player if you're looking for a job.

Hey Derby Dave, if you end up adding Chris Cornell Louisville July 6 - or Band of Horses Indy Nov 5, let me know & I'll see you. :)
Will do my friend...it's definitely a no go for the Louisville / Cornell show, can't make it there on a Wednesday night.
I MAY do the BOH show in Indy if I can get out of shooting the Ohio State / Nebraska game that night.
I'll keep you posted and let you know if I can make it...we could grab a brew at the Scholar on Massachusetts Ave before the show!! :rock_on:

  • I was actually able to use the free Ticketmaster vouchers on this 3rd round of releases:

Hall & Oates 7.12 @ Holmdel, NJ (I wouldn't go except for free. I might just leave after I hear "I can't go for that, no can do . . ."

I didn't really notice the 80's theme when I was buying these tickets. I've already seen The Cure this year, and I will be seeing Joe Jackson on the same day I see Billy Idol. Add to that UB40, and Billy Bragg, and it makes for a pretty good run of shows from 80's bands.

Pearl Jam (Pemberton Festival) - July 17
Chris Cornell (Victoria, BC) - July 21
The Tragically Hip (Victoria, BC) - July 22
Guns N' Roses (Seattle, WA) - August 12
Pearl Jam (Chicago, IL) - August 20
Pearl Jam (Chicago, IL) - August 22
Counting Crows (Chicago, IL) - August 24

That's a pretty good run. I don't live in a city that gets big shows, so the amount I go to is restricted by travel. The last number of years I've maybe seen 1-3 shows in a summer. This is a pretty good summer for me. I'm stoked.
